OK BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THE “WHEN”

WHEN YOU BETRAY ME I WILL KILL YOU” AND THEN LOKI SAYS “WHEN DO WE START?” SO BASICALLY. THOR DOES SOMEWHAT TRUST LOKI BECAUSE HE IS GOING TO LOKI FOR HELP. BUT. THOR KNOWS THAT LOKI IS BAD NEWS BEARS AND KNOWS THAT HE WILL TRY AND TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE AGAIN. SO THOR (WHO LOVES HIS BROTHER) IS ESSENTIALLY ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO KILL LOKI. AND IT MUST KILL HIM TO SAY THAT.

AND. WE KNOW THAT LOKI IS NOT GOING TO BE IN AVENGERS 2 SO WHAT IF LOKI DIES IN THOR 2 BECAUSE THOR KILLS HIM BECAUSE HE ONCE AGAIN BETRAYED HIS BROTHER.

FUCK.

Star PV Cep
This image was obtained with the wide-field view of the Mosaic camera on the Mayall 4-meter telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory. PV Cep is the star embedded in the cloud of gas near the center of the image. It is a star in the process of forming. As it forms, it is also ejecting hot jets of gas, which can be seen as the gently curved, “S-shaped” line of red blobs of gas that extend to the upper-right and lower-left of PV Cep. The V-shaped cone of light just above PV Cep is red on the right side because the H-alpha data for this image was obtained on two nights over a year apart (June 10th, 2010 and September 16th, 2011). During that time, the illumination of the cone of light by PV Cep changed dramatically. The image was generated with B (blue), V (green), I (orange) and Hydrogen-Alpha (red) filters. In this image, north is up, and east is to the left.

Journey into Mystery #645

I would like to point all the Thor haters to these panels right here.  You can spew all the stupid, inane, hateful bullshit you want, but this right here is the real Thor.  Loki knows he may become his elder self again, and he tells Thor to kill him, but Thor cannot do that.  He cannot kill his little brother, no matter what happens.  He may have to fight him for the greater good, because he cannot stand idly by and watch as Loki destroys realms and kills masses of people, but he could never eliminate his own brother.  And even if Loki is killed by a force that is not Thor’s he will still miss him, and sometimes even find him and bring him home. [Which is how we got kid!Loki in the first place.]

Thor loves Loki more than anyone else, and vice versa despite everything that has happened in their past and that may happen.  They are two halves of a whole, they truly do complete each other, and if one does not see that, then they truly do not grasp these characters or the story at all.  The MCU still has a long way to go really get these characters right, and unfortunately, they’ve already cut out so much stuff that was vital to their characterization and their relationship.  Nothing should have been cut out of the Thor movie, and The Avengers should have been tweaked, in my opinion.  There were some things that were just painfully out of character. Perhaps as we delve deeper into the MCU they will get better at the characterization, we’ll see.  Anyway, yeah, if one can look at this and still think that Thor is so terrible, then you can kindly exit the fandom through the door on the right, thank you.
